Hillary Walker - Photography

I admire photographers and how they manage to capture a simple moment, and turn it into something precious. Hillary Walker's photography has popped up in several magazines that I have admired, including Frankie's Book SPACES, often I have exclaimed "oh what a nice shot" but not taken note of the person behind the camera. She is a Melbourne girl, which makes me like her even more, and has photographed some awesome people and places (see just a small snippet below). I do hope one day I get to meet her, and for her camera lens finds it's way to my place. x A

Dear Photograph

Dear Photograph,40 years ago my grandpa and his brothers stormed the beach at the Cape. I wish the tide would carry me back and let me hop on board to listen in and laugh for just a little while.Alice

.....A beautiful way to look at photographs. It reminds me that time passes but we still have the memories...and in this case many of the places. Via Dear Photograph

Vivian Maier - A Mystery

There is so much appeal in the Mystery that is Vivian Maier, an unknown French born New York photographer her life work was purchased from an antique auction by John Maloof. For 40 years (1950-90's) Vivian documented the city, and it's people.  Her journalistic style of imagery is fascinating, almost as intriguing as the mysterious woman her self. There is little know about Vivian, however in the some 600 undeveloped rolls of film left in the collection, Hopefully John Maloof will be able to share a lot more with us.

Muma Maria

I wish I could remember where I found these images...Maria, Maria, Maria something! Anyone help?
Aren't they wonderful. From memory, Maria is a Spanish photographer/stylist. I think!

Jan Family - Plans for Other Days

I came across this book whilst at uni back in 2007, I would dearly love to buy it. The imagery is just,....how can I say 'lovely'. Jan Family is a group of English artists who beautifully document new ways to engage with our surroundings. Plans for Other Days is not only a humorous way of looking at the world im which we live, but a testament to my manta that inspiration can come from the smallest of events, if you remember to notice. Enjoy.
